LISD values the role technology and digital learning plays in enhancing education. Technology is becoming more ubiquitous in the world around us and learners (students and staff) need to be proficient in communicating, collaborating, creating, thinking critically, and highly efficient in applying information to solve real-world problems.
LISD has committed to creating transformative learning environments for students and our educational community. This is evident as the District has invested resources into a thorough Device Evaluation Process during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years. The outcome of this process has helped inform the District of the needs of students, staff, and parents. Many of the needs are being supported financially through the 2017 Bond program. LISD is most grateful for this support. At the center of the learning is the student. With equitable access, technology provides an avenue for student choice, student voice, and an opportunity for teachers to provide ultimate differentiated learning experiences for all Future Ready learners.
With these outcomes in mind, LISD provides varying degrees of technology access to students.
