  • Science, as defined by the National Academy of Sciences, is the "use of evidence to construct testable explanations and predictions of natural phenomena, as well as the knowledge generated through this process."

    The Lewisville ISD elementary science mission is to support all students to realize the ongoing relevance of science in their everyday lives and become scientifically literate. Our curriculum provides high-quality, inquiry-based experiences that allow students to construct knowledge and skills to investigate the natural world by acting, thinking, and communicating like scientists.
