Welcome, Coyote Ridge students, families, and community members!
We are celebrating our 15th year serving the children and families of Lewisville and Carrollton and take great pride in the diversity of our amazing campus.
At CRE, we believe as educators we must continue with professional learning to provide the most relevant, engaging, and collaborative environment to promote 21st-century learning for our children. We will incorporate PBLs (project-based learning), Thinking Maps, Inquiry-based learning, Math Investigations, History Alive, e-portfolios through Google sites, as well as assimilate additional technology where children can collaborate, communicate, and create while pushing themselves to think at a more critical level.
For the 19-20 school year, we are excited to continue our journey as a Leader in Me school based on the work of Stephen Covey. Staff and students have been learning about The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People model, which has been tailored to children and teachers in an education setting, to embrace a process that helps develop the essential life skills and characteristics students need in order to thrive in the 21st century. Centered around the 7 Habits of Happy Kids, The Leader in Me allows teachers to guide students as they find their strengths and what makes them special. We are excited to see what new leadership skills emerge as we move into year four of the program!
We have a creative year that lies ahead and we can’t wait to include our parents and community members every step along the way! Our theme for 2019-20 is Building Strong Leaders, and we strive to engage our entire learning community in powerful experiences that demonstrate the amazing learning and thinking at CRE!
We hope to see all of you at Coyote Ridge and welcome your support and involvement. Please know our doors are always open to discuss our most precious commodity, your children.
