-
Social Studies curriculum and instruction provides students the knowledge and skills necessary to become life-long learners and informed and responsible citizens of the United States and the World. This is accomplished through the teaching of broad concepts, social studies skills, and learning strategies. Social Studies skills instruction includes the analysis of visual documents, primary sources, maps, and graphics. Social studies concepts are taught in an integrated approach with Language Arts in grades K-3.
