For Veterans Day, schools across Lewisville ISD proudly recognize those who bravely served our country in the United States Armed Forces. This year, many LISD campuses are finding new ways to recognize Veterans whether virtually or at a distance.
Below is a complete list of LISD campuses set to host community Veterans Day celebrations this year!
Arbor Creek Middle School | Nov. 11, 20218:15-9:15 a.m. | Breakfast and guest speaker for students via WebEXCastle Hills Elementary | Nov. 11, 20211 and 2 p.m. | Castle Hills will host an in-person, outdoor event on the blacktop. The video will be posted on Creek Valley's social mediaHebron High School | Nov. 11, 20218:30 a.m. | Breakfast for Veterans in the Hebron HS Library.9-9:45 a.m. | Veterans Day ceremony and guest speaker in the library honoring Veterans nominated by Hebron High School students and staff members. Visitors limited to Veterans, family members, student leaders, and staff members. The ceremony will be recorded and played for all students during advisory period.

Memorial Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021

Veterans and community members are welcomed to attend.Bridlewood Elementary | Nov. 11, 20213rd-grade students will perform a ceremony for campus and Veterans. There will be a Veterans Honor Wall that is submitted by students of their family members. The event is pre-recorded and a link will be sent out once the event occurs.Donald Elementary | Nov. 11, 20218:15 a.m. | Donald will host a drive-by celebration and invites all Veterans to participate. The drive-by will take place in the normal car line on campus. Posters and decorations on vehciles indicating their service are encouraged. Veterans can register here

Garden Ridge Elementary | Nov. 11, 20218:30-9 a.m. | Veterans Day drive-by paradeFlower Mound Elementary | Nov. 11, 20218:15 a.m. | Outside Ceremony on the basketball court for 3rd-5th grade, Veterans and parentsFlower Mound High School | Nov. 7, 20211-3 p.m. | A family picnic will be held from 1-2 p.m. with free hot dogs, cake, and lemonade. From 2-3 p.m. at the football stadium, the Town will host a Veterans Day Ceremony, which will include a Veterans review where local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and ROTC units parade in uniform before the Veterans. ROTC units and Scout groups can enter the review by calling 972.874.6276. Veterans and the community are welcome to attend.

Virtual and pre-recorded event that will be posted on McKamy's Facebook and Website celebrating McKamy family members who are Veterans. McKamy students will also participate in the Town of Flower Mound's Veterans' Day Run and will cheer on the runners as they pass by the school.

Highland Village Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
8 a.m. | A Veterans Day event will take place outside on the blacktop. Light refreshments for Veteran's and their families will be provided after the event.
McAuliffe Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
10-11 a.m. | McAuliffe will do a drive-thru parade that wraps around the building with all the students outside celebrating the Veterans. Veterans and their families are encouraged to drive around the building. Community members are encouraged to join the students and staff in the South Loop and on Briarhill Blvd. with signs and flags.
Central Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
9 a.m. | In-person, outside Veterans Day ceremony by the campus flag pole. Veterans and community members are welcomed to attend.
Creekside Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
5 p.m. | In-person, outside event for campus and the community. Hotdogs will be served with a public reading from students and a performance from the choir.
Durham Middle School | Nov. 11, 2021
2-4 p.m. | The Veterans Day ceremony will take place in the gym with three 30-minute rotations between grade levels. Veterans and community members are welcome to attend.
Huffines Middle School | Nov. 11, 2021
Live event in the gym. Veterans and community memberes are welcome to attend. Veterans will arrive at 3:25 p.m. for check-in and seating.
Lewisville High School | Nov. 11, 2021
10:15 a.m. | In-Person in the auditorium. Veterans will arrive at 10 a.m. Community members are welcome.
Lewisville Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
8 a.m. | In-person, outside event at the back of the school for students and community members.
Mill Street Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
9 a.m. | 5th-grade students at Mill Street will honor Veterans with an outdoor program titled, "A Salute to Our Veterans". All Veterans are invited to attend.
Rockbrook Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
8:30 a.m. | Veterans who RSVP are invited to a breakfast followed by a fourth-grade performance and a gift made by Rockbrook students.
Valley Ridge Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
8-8:30 a.m. | Veterans Day Assembly with the whole school outside on the basketball courts. Veterans and families are welcome and social distancing will be in place. Valley Ridge will honor Veterans associated with the campus on the Veterans Wall. The Colors will be presented by 5th graders who raise the flags every day. Each grade level will sing a short segment of a song about the United State of America.
Vickery Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
Indoor event that is invite-only for the Veterans associated with Vickery. 4th grade will have a 20-minute singing performance for the invited Veterans.
B.B. Owen Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
10 a.m. | Hosting a drive-thru parade. Students will be stationed around the front circle drive with American flags and signs. A flyer is posted on the B.B. Owen Facebook and Veterans may contact the school office at 469-713-5950 for more details on participating.
Camey Elementary | Nov. 11, 2021
8:15 a.m. | Breakfast for Veterans in the library
9:15 a.m. | Veterans Day ceremony in the cafeteria with Veterans on stage and any student related to them in the audience.
Visitors are limited to Veterans only and the student they are with. All other students and staff will watch virtually.

Lakeview Middle School | Nov. 11, 2021
Outside campus display that Veterans and community members can drive by the front of the school to see. Students will plant flags in the front yard of campus during the school day to commemorate the service of Veterans.
