    If you are not able to attend orientation, you can visit on Monday August 6th or Monday August 13th from 9:00am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, to walk your schedule and set up your locker.

    7th Grade Immunizations

    The Texas Legislature passed legislation in 2009 requiring additional immunizations for students entering 7th grade. Parents are required to provide proof of these immunizations prior to the start of school in August (2018). Students who do NOT have proof of these immunizations will NOT receive their schedules and locker. 

    Two additional immunizations are required:

    • Tdap booster (within 5 yrs. of last Dtap dose)

    • Meningococcal (MCV4, MenACWY, Menveo, Menacer

    PE

    All student in PE are required to wear a uniform daily.
    • Orders completed by August 1st will be delivered to school during the first week of school

    • Click on PE Uniform to purchase and for more information about PE. 

     

     

    Important information:

    Reminder #1:

    Skyward forms must be completed prior to your child getting their class schedule and locker

    Please have all forms filled out and submitted along with the iPad fee paid in order to get a schedule and locker.  Your child will need a printed copy of Step 11 in the forms and a printed copy of the receipt for iPad payment to get their schedule.  The iPad receipt can be found under the Fee Management tab and “view payment”.  These two forms are required for students to pick up their schedule and locker.

    • Caution on Step #6 in the forms:  There are three sections that need a response!
      • 1st – “I allow” or “I revoke” for allowing access to LISD Technology Resources
      • 2nd -  “Yes”/”No”  reviewing terms and conditions
      • 3rd  –  “Opt in”/”Opt out”   for use of a district iPad
    • If “I revoke” is left as the default in the 1st section, the iPad Fee under Fee Management will not be accessible.

     

    Reminder #2:

    7th grade:  Shot records need to be up to date for students to receive schedules and locker. Click HERE for more information. 

    Reminder #3:

    The building will be open Monday, August 6 & Monday, August 13 from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00 for students to walk schedules, practice lockers or pick up schedules if they miss orientation.  The building will be closed to visitors all other times so teachers can prepare for students.

    Please make sure your child brings a copy of Step #10 and a copy of the iPad payment receipt to receive their schedule and locker.

    PE Uniforms

     

    Orientation:

    Orientation for 6th  grade  will be on  Thursday, August 2, 2018  at 1:30. If you can not make it, we will offer scheduled times before the start of school for students and parents to locate classes and organize lockers. 

    Activities at Orientation:

    • Locate classes and organize your locker.
    • Join PTA and meet other parents and students!
    • Cafeteria personnel will be available to take money for lunch accounts.
    • Available for purchase will be zipper binders and locker shelves. ($12 each)
    • A school supply list is included. If you prefer to buy the pre-packaged “wrap packs,” order online through June 24 at: educationalproducts.com/shoppacks. School Code: SHA013. If you pre-order, your wrap packs will be available for pick up at Orientation. (cash/check only)
    • PE uniforms will be available for pick-up if you pre-order by July 27th. Uniforms are ordered through Team D Designs at teamddesigns.com.
    • Consider contributing to the SRMS “write a check” school wide fundraiser!
