Welcome to LISD's department of Environmental Learning.  We bring outdoor science-based experiences to students in LISD.  In 1995, the U.S. Department of Education supplied LISD with 84 acres to use for environmental learning, now called LISD Outdoor Learning Area, LISDOLA. Our network of trails, activity areas and indoor classrooms provide foundational outdoor adventures for more than 10,000 of our students each year.  Programs at LISDOLA serve LISD 1st, 4th and 5th graders, and we also partner with the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area to bring field experiences to LISD 7th graders. We can't wait to see your students on the trails this year!
