7th Grade

Students will:
- Visit the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA)
- Hike the Bittern Marsh Trail or Blackjack Trail.
- Make observations and connections related to environmental changes over time, energy transfers, patterns of human impact and systems maintaining balance.
- Work with LLELA and UNT restoration staff and volunteers to plant native prairie plants in line with LLELA's master restoration plan.
- Conduct a habitat assessment for pollinators and bobwhite quail based on availability of observable resources - food(insects), food(seed/host plant), shelter/cover/nest sites, water.
- Raise funds to stock the LLELA greenhouse for next year's prairie restoration -- benefiting the Friends of LLELA.
