Spanish Immersion

In 2012-13, Lewisville ISD established its first-ever elementary world language enrichment program, Spanish Immersion.

In LISD's Spanish Immersion program, kindergarten through fifth-grade students acquire biliteracy and bilingualism (English/Spanish) through core content that is taught in both English and Spanish. In the Spanish Immersion program, the majority of the students in the class are learning Spanish. Students receive partial immersion instruction in Spanish and English in core content areas.
