  • Professional Application
    Teaching and Professional Positions

    Application Process:

    1. Fill out an online application with the following required documents:
      • Current resume
      • Copy of your teaching certificate
      • Copy of transcripts from all universities and colleges attended (upon offer of employment, an official copy of your college transcripts must be provided)
      • If applicable - Undergraduates: Letter of intent and/or letter of completion
      • If applicable - Letter of acceptance in an alternative certification program and Statement of Eligibility
    2. Once your application is complete (all documents are attached, references are returned), hiring managers/ school administrators will begin screening applications based on their own timelines.  
    3. When you have a FULL application online, you are free to email principals or hiring managers directly to express your interest in their position. 
      *However, it does not guarantee you will receive a phone call, email, or interview from the hiring managers or school administrators.
  • Classified Application
    Administrative Support, Instructional Support, Auxiliary, Hourly and Substitute Positions

    Classified positions include:
    Aide/Tutor, Business Office (non-certified), Central Administration (non-certified), Clerical/Secretarial, Food Service (Child Nutrition), Head Start/Child Care (Extended School Day Aides and part-time Teachers, Learning Beyond the Bell), Human Resources (non-certified), Information Technology (non-certified), Maintenance & Operations (Facility Services, Warehouse), Substitutes

    Application Process:

    1. Fill out an online application with the following required documents and information:
      • Current resume
      • Proof of Education - Transcripts showing highest level attained in college or high school; copy of GED if appropriate.
      • If applicable - Certifications held that pertain to position to which you're applying
      • Email address - LISD requires an email address be provided by all applicants where indicated on the online application
      • References - must be supervisory i.e. people who have supervised you in a work or volunteer setting, or in another supervisory capacity
    2. Once your application is complete (all documents are attached, references are returned) Human Resources will review your application.
    3. We strongly suggest you visit the Job Posting board frequently. You can attach your application to newly posted positions, as desired. Job Postings are updated daily.
    4. If Human Resources desires further action or a screening interview, you will be contacted by a Human Resources representative. Submission of an application does not guarantee that the applicant will be interviewed.

  • Fingerprinting:
    Due to the implementation of Senate Bill 9, effective January 1, 2008, ALL non-certified applicants (clerical, food service, facility services, adult temporary and tutors, community education, technology administrative support) will be required to undergo the fingerprinting process prior to their first day of employment. The District will provide the necessary paperwork for the fingerprinting process after an employment offer has been made. The employee will be responsible for fees involved.
