Congratulations to the HHS Class of 2025 Top 10 graduates.

    ParthTripathi

    Valedictorian
    Parth Tripathi

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
    Brown University

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
I plan to major in Computational Biology as a part of the 8-year Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME). Upon graduation, I hope to join the medical field as a physician.

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
Mr. Ryan Woodward, my 11th grade Calculus teacher. It is rare to find a teacher who cares so much about the happiness and joy each student has. Somehow, Mr. Woodward was both the most brilliant and engaging teacher I’ve ever had, making Calculus significantly easier than I could have ever thought. Oftentimes, his influence extended far past the “classwork” we did. He was so invested in learning about the rest of my life and always allowed me to (annoyingly) come to his room early in the morning before he had his cup(s) of coffee…In the same way, I would be remiss to not mention Mr. Jaden Gorham, (Honors Chemistry), who made me laugh uncontrollably the entire first day of class. He was a constant source of encouragement in times of self-doubt and supported me through the entire three years I knew him, even after leaving Hebron. Lastly, I would like to thank Mr. Trey Hooper (AP US History), whose kind and calm demeanor was a place of comfort in my otherwise stressful junior year, Mr. Cameron Casalini (AP Statistics and Honors Algebra 2) for his ability to tie in his Chick-Fil-A and spicy food addiction into math lessons, Mrs. Kerri Boyd, whose love and excitement about Chemistry could be felt through every day’s lesson, and Mrs. Jennifer Russell, whose class gave me a new appreciation for creativity, perspective, and how art can be analyzed just as thoughtfully as any equation.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made was finding a group of people that were as motivated and curious as I was. Their support, whether academic or personal, carried me through the last few years and inspired me to work harder. I’m also grateful I learned early to trust my teachers and the academic process. That faith and belief gave me the confidence to take risks, ask questions, and grow in ways I never expected.

What are your favorite memories of school?
I’ll never forget playing basketball and football at “the park” with my amazing friends, all of us pretending we were far more athletic than we actually were. I will also cherish the memories of HOSA trips, late-night gaming sessions, and the countless birthdays I had the privilege of celebrating alongside the people I care about most.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope that the Class of 2025 is remembered as a group that created long-lasting friendships and connections. This last year, I’ve watched as new relationships formed and people stepped outside of their comfort zones to build something bigger than themselves. It’s also my hope that we are thought of as hardworking, compassionate, and informed individuals who will use what we have learned at Hebron to pave our own paths—and to make those paths a little easier for the ones who come after us.

    Annika Sawant

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
    University of Texas at Austin

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
I plan on majoring in the Canfield Business Honors Program at the McCombs School of Business in the Forty Acres Full-Ride Merit Scholar Program. I plan on adding a STEM related major or minor, and hope to start my own business!

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
Mr. Woodward, my Calculus AB+BC teacher, for making me actually enjoy math for the first time, knowing his subject more deeply than any teacher I've ever met (tied with Ms. Ferg - AP Human Geography), and being one of the most genuine, kind, and funny teachers I've ever encountered. Ms. Sheehan, my English II teacher, for being similarly witty, down to earth, kind, and engaging. Ms. Russell, my AP Art History teacher, for being the coolest teacher ever, caring about her students far beyond the classroom, and taking the time to get to know us. Ms. Ferg and Ms. Madewell will also always have a special place in my heart for freshman year AP Humanities - they somehow made sure we learned everything without it ever really feeling like work. Honorable mentions to Mrs. Boyd, my AP Chemistry teacher (I will always remember AP Chem Halloween), and Mrs. Ribera, my AP Biology teacher (I made lasting friends in that class), because their classes challenged me in ways I hadn't been before!

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made was surrounding myself with genuinely good people while pushing myself to do hard things. With a strong support system, I was able to face the stressful parts of high school with a positive outlook. Meeting these people came from saying yes to every opportunity early on - taking classes I wasn't quite sure I could handle, joining clubs I had no prior knowledge on, and always being open to meeting new friends.

What are your favorite memories of school?
Most of my favorite school-related memories were made outside of the building itself. DECA State/ICDC and HOSA State/ILC stand out as trips I remember over the years because of the classmates and friends who made them fun!

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
The class of 2025 is so awesome!! I hope history remembers us as a group of kind, passionate, and relentlessly driven individuals. From the arts to athletics to academics, I am constantly learning that our class continues to achieve incredible things. And beyond accolades, I’m most proud of the way we support one another - that friendship and genuine care supersede our achievements. Our legacy is one of heart and success.

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
    Duke University

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
I plan to major in biomedical engineering, seeking a future in medicine as a physician.

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
While I’ve been lucky to have so many excellent teachers, my most impactful one was definitely Mr. Ryan Woodward, both my Math/Number Sense UIL Coach and my AP Calculus AB/BC teacher. Whether it was talking about the latest playoff games; strange breakfast combinations; or, here and there, math, Mr. Woodward is more than just a fantastic instructor. He’s an excellent friend that I could always confide in; any student would be lucky to have stepped foot in his classroom. Mrs. Kerri Boyd, my AP Chemistry teacher, similarly was instrumental in my junior year. Not only did she explain concepts excellently, strengthening my passion for science, but also was humorous, kind, and reminded me to enjoy the high school experience. Furthermore, Ms. Julie Cone, my HOSA sponsor and AP Environmental Science teacher, always kept me organized and prepared for every trip, and truly worked hard to help me and our chapter succeed. Also, I must thank Mrs. Dava Fratello, my 4th grade English teacher from Harmony, for first inspiring me to achieve my fullest potential and bringing an infectious joy to class, day in and day out. Besides these four, I’m grateful for Mr. Trey Hooper (AP U.S. History), Mrs. Randi Riordan (Honors Algebra II), Mr. Bernard Jenkins (FInE Sponsor), Mr. Larry Horton (Honors Spanish III/AP Spanish IV/Spanish NHS Sponsor), Dr. Kathleen Holley (AP Physics C), and Mrs. Laura Ribera (AP Biology), for making me look forward to coming to school each day and pushing me to make the most of my education.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made for my future was collaborating with others. Through the support of my family and friends, I’ve been able to take on bigger academic and extracurricular responsibilities while enjoying the process. As  enter the “real world”, the skill of collaboration and learning from other people’s perspectives will propel me to success.

What are your favorite memories of school?
Whether it was discussing our day when walking home from the bus, going on HOSA or UIL trips, eating out at the end of each quarter, late night FaceTime calls before history tests, or playing and watching sports, there was no better time spent over these last four years than that with my friends; I’ll forever cherish the bonds I forged with each and every one of them.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope we’re remembered for our collaboration and ambition. As a class, we’ve reached new milestones in academics, athletics, arts, and otherwise, but not just due to everyone’s innate talent and abilities; we’ve dreamt higher, thought bigger, and worked together to achieve greater feats, and will continue to do so as we pursue our various bright futures.

    4. Mujtaba Warsi

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
I will be attending Rice University in the coming fall.

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
I plan to major in neuroscience on the pre-med track. My professional aim is to eventually become a successful and impactful physician.

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
I can recall many great memories with different teachers at Hebron, but the one who impacted me the most was Mr. Ryan Woodward. Having his class junior year was great because, amidst all the stress and chaos, he made AP Calculus an enjoyable subject and the class something I could look forward to. Talking about basketball and other things was something that I could do with Mr Woodward even after I'd left his class. I want to thank him for making the class easy to understand and for always being up to date on the NBA. Mr. Woodward showed me that teachers can be just like us students in many ways, making the environment much more comfortable. Having teachers like Mr. Woodward makes me glad I came to Hebron. I would also like to thank Mr. Trey Hooper for making learning AP US History fun and always being motivated to help educate our young minds. Also, I would like to thank Mrs. Kerri Boyd, Mr. Rachmad Tjachyadi, and Ms. Kelley Ferguson for being dedicated teachers and providing the best support for their students. Finally, thank you to Mrs. Jennifer Russell and Mrs. Heather Summers for all your passion in teaching your subjects.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made for my education and future was to devise a schedule for after school each week and do my best to stick to it. Allotting time for different classes was an important part of any success I had during my time at Hebron, and a crucial aspect was to understand from my previous mistakes—such as not giving myself enough time to study for a certain exam.

What are your favorite memories of school?
My favorite memories of school are the times were the school trips and group work we would do together. The labs in AP Chemistry were always good times and the state trips for debate or HOSA were especially enjoyable. Spending time with classmates—sometimes even teachers—doing fun activities are the best memories I have from Hebron.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope history remembers the Class of 2025 as people who did their best to do it all. We had numerous students devoting time to the various aspects of their life and the balance that many achieved is very commendable and noteworthy. We have many student-athletes, musicians who are also at the top of their class, and students doing impactful work in their communities. I believe Class of 2025’s initiative to do their best is our greatest legacy.

    5. Zain Mehrani

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
The University of Texas at Austin

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
I plan to major in Management Information Systems and pursue a career in consulting.

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
Mr. Bernard Jenkins, my AP Physics teacher, had the biggest impact on me throughout high school. There was never a dull moment in his class. He was always full of energy, constantly cracking jokes, and making every lesson enjoyable. What stood out most was how he made every student feel seen and welcomed. Also, Mr. Bradley Barry, my AP Precalculus teacher, made a huge difference in how I approach learning. His teaching style was clear and straightforward, which made complex concepts easy to understand and made precalculus fun to learn.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made during my time in LISD was choosing not to slack off, even when it was tempting. There were many moments when I felt like giving up on assignments or not studying for tests, but I pushed myself to stay focused. This consistency helped me build strong habits that will always remain with me.

What are your favorite memories of school?
Some of my favorite memories from school are the times when my friends and I would rush to play games on our iPads and phones after finishing our work. Those moments added fun and laughter to our days, making the pressures of high school feel a little lighter and life a bit brighter. It was a great way to unwind and build stronger friendships during a busy time in our lives.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope the Class of 2025 is remembered as extremely hardworking and competitive, with a strong drive to succeed. There are so many high achievers in this class who have pushed themselves to excel, and I truly believe many of us will go on to accomplish great things in our future.

    6. Tanvi Gupta

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
    University of Michigan

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
    Mechanical Engineering, Robotics/Aerospace Engineer

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
Dr. Kathleen Holley, AP Physics C Dr. Holley taught me to have curiosity and a deep understanding of the concepts I was learning. Instead of just memorizing formulas, she explained the real world applications of physics, from rockets to the Milikan Oil Drop experiment. My view of the world changed from taking her class, as I got a deeper understanding of the poetry our universe works by.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made was exploring many different subjects/clubs until I found what I truly liked. In my sophomore year, I tried out business clubs, chemistry/medical applications, and many other avenues until I settled on my interest in technology and robotics. Through this process, I was able to find something I am truly passionate about, and meet so many cool people along the way.

What are your favorite memories of school?
My favorite memories of high school are the late night Facetime calls and coffee shop meetups my friends and I had. Not only did we struggle and complain together, but we all got incredibly close. I won't ever forget spitting out my coffee from laughing too hard in a random Starbucks.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope history remembers our dedication and deep support of one another. My peers in the Class of 2025 are some of the smartest, kindest, and most hard-working people I have ever met.

    7. Singam Mallaparaju

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
    UT Dallas

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
    Biomedical Engineering, pre-med track

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
All my teachers played an instrumental role in guiding me through high school, and I wouldn't be in the position I am today without their help. However, the teachers that left the greatest impact on me were those that embodied both a lightheartedness and diligence towards teaching. The teachers who best fit this mold for me were Mr. Woodward, Mrs. Boyd, Mrs. Summers, and Mr. Hooper. Their courses had a nice balance of humor, rigor, and steady support which made them all the more memorable.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
Surrounding myself with people better than me. My friends’ drive to excel in whatever they did was inspiring and pushed me to improve everyday.

What are your favorite memories of school?
Messing around during lunch, after-school basketball at the park, long walks after school with friends, trauma bonding through difficult classes, and grinding all the different games are things I'll likely never forget about high school.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope history remembers this class as resilient and hardworking. I'm lucky in that my road to graduation was pretty smooth sailing compared to others. Many in this class took on the incredible challenge of balancing academics with personal struggles, jobs, family responsibilities, and/or other obstacles. Their effort shouldn't go unnoticed and showcases a strength that truly defines the class of 2025.

What are your favorite memories of school?
    I enjoyed learning about things.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope history remembers the class of 2025 as respectable group of people who moved on to do bigger and better things after high school.

    AngelaKe

    9. Angela Ke

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
The University of Texas at Austin

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
Nursing. My plan is to become a registered nurse in either rehab or oncology.

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
Donna Friend and Jeanette Rooks were my Academic Decathlon coaches. They showed me I am capable of more than I think, mentored me since my freshman year, and supported me through every challenge.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made was starting and joining projects I was actually passionate about, rather than just doing what people may say is conventionally impressive to colleges. By being a part of things I had a personal mission in, it made working hard enjoyable.

What are your favorite memories of school?
My favorite memories are every Academic Decathlon competition (especially state of 2024), creating The Unspoken literary journal from a dream a few girls and I had, and all the time spent with friends as we tried to make surviving a class fun.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
I hope we’re remembered as students who pushed ourselves to pursue our goals without shame and celebrated each other as we did so.

    Sara Macray Marchione

    10. Sara Macray Marchione

What university/college are you attending in the fall?
    University of Richmond

What do you plan to major in, and what are your career plans?
I plan to major in biochemistry while playing collegiate-level soccer at the University of Richmond. One day, I hope to pursue research in the medical field.

What teacher impacted you the most and how/why?
There isn't one single teacher who has impacted me the most throughout my education. If I could, I would list every teacher I’ve had from kindergarten through senior year and how each one has positively influenced the trajectory of my life. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to learn from some of the most inspiring individuals in our community. Mrs. Kerri Boyd (AP Chemistry), you’ve taught me the importance of balancing social and academic life, even in one of the most challenging AP courses our school offers. With your classroom door always open and your smile ever-present, I know I can count on you for support or just a good laugh. Mr. Ryan Woodward (AP Calculus BC), although I only had you for 18 weeks, you helped me build confidence in myself, reminded me not to doubt my abilities, and encouraged me to always seek challenges. Thank you for answering all my questions, whether they were math-related or not. Mr. Bradley Barry (AP Calculus AB), thank you for telling the best stories and for always taking the time to ask about my weekend. It’s been a true blessing to get to know you and your story. You've inspired me in many ways, both inside and outside the classroom. Coach Essary and Coach Vaughn (Women’s Soccer), thank you for allowing me to study in your office during lunch, have trust in me to lead the team, and invest so much time and energy into me. Y’all have both had a pivotal impact in my future as a soccer player and a human being. Mrs. Becky Farley (7th Grade Science), you sparked my love for science and helped shape my decision to pursue it as a career. I always enjoy crossing paths with you at baseball games or other LISD affiliated events. To Mr. Knowles (AP World History), Mrs. Sheehan (Honors English II), Ms. Perkins (AP Lang), Ms. Haneline (AP Lit), Mr. Smith (Accounting), and Ms. Mayo (even though I never had you as my teacher), thank you for always waving, saying “Hi Macray,” or asking how I’m doing in the hallways. I always look forward to seeing y’all, as these simple gestures remind me that teachers truly care about you, even long after we leave their classrooms.

What was the best choice you made for your education/future during your time in LISD?
The best choice I made for my education and future during my time in LISD was joining the Hebron Soccer Program. As a freshman, sophomore, and junior, I was surrounded by dedicated and loving upperclassmen who never questioned taking me under their wing and helping me navigate life. This year, I hope I served that same role for the underclassmen, as I saw parts of myself in each of the younger girls on the team.

What are your favorite memories of school?
My favorite memories of school come from the little moments shared with the friends it gave me - carpooling to sporting events, playing blackjack, or gathering around a bonfire. I’ve always loved the quote, "Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future," and I truly believe mine is bright because of them. I’m especially thankful for Cassie, Luke, and Ava, who were a constant source of encouragement and shared some of the most unforgettable moments of the past several years.

In the years to come, how do you hope history remembers the class of 2025?
In the years to come, I hope history remembers the Class of 2025 as absolute dawgs. We thrived in one of the most competitive academic and athletic environments imaginable, truly defining “all gas, no brakes." Beyond dominating in the classroom and pushing boundaries in clubs, we were constantly sending teams and individuals to playoffs, state, and nationals. We consistently showed up and showed out, and that’s something we should all be proud of.
