ESSER III Grant
-
Use of Funds Plan
The federal government authorized the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III funds for school districts across the nation on March 11, 2021. School systems in Texas were eligible to apply for their allocation of these one-time funds beginning on April 29, 2021. These grant funds are to be used by September 2024, in response to the pandemic and to address the impact of COVID-19 on students.
Lewisville ISD was awarded ESSER III funds, as authorized by the American Rescue Plan of 2021, and gathered input from our stakeholders to create a plan for using these resources. On June 8th, 2021, emails were sent to all LISD employees, students, and families encouraging everyone to be a part of our grant process. We also posted information along with links to the LISD Twitter and Facebook pages, to the LISD website, and we shared information in our local newspapers. Between 4 surveys and 5 public forums, we received 5,206 responses and were able to submit a grant application on 06/23/22 that incorporated the voices of our community.
