ESSER III Grant

  • Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER) Grant

The federal government authorized the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III funds for school districts across the nation on March 11, 2021. School systems in Texas were eligible to apply for their allocation of these one-time funds beginning on April 29, 2021.  These grant funds are to be used by September 2024, in response to the pandemic and to address the impact of COVID-19 on students.

Lewisville ISD was awarded ESSER III funds, as authorized by the American Rescue Plan of 2021, and gathered input from stakeholders to create a plan for using these resources.  Grant funds were expended during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 school years, in support of the Use of Funds Plan which was created with stakeholder input.  The Use of Funds plan and the Safe Return Plan detail the way in which Lewisville ISD used grant funds to meet student needs, and continues to offer safe, in-person instruction.  For questions, please contact Courtney Hart at hartc@lisd.net
