Title III, Part A, provides supplemental resources to Local Education Agencies to help ensure that children who are English learners attain English proficiency at high levels in academic subjects and can meet the same challenging State academic standards that all children are expected to meet.  This grant program also provides supplemental funds to Local Education Agencies who are experiencing substantial increases in immigrant children and youth for activities that provide enhanced instructional opportunities for immigrant children and youth.
