Elementary students in LISD will build a strong foundation as learners and have multiple opportunities each year to engage in career exploration.  Emerging student interests and passions are explored, developed, and nurtured.

Early opportunities for elementary will primarily focus on career exploration

• Elementary students will receive specific guidance lessons that address future opportunities in colleges and careers.
• All elementary students will have the opportunity to participate in career events on campuses each year.
• Classroom teachers will use the rich resources of our community to connect and design learning experiences that showcase careers.
• Each year, Generation Texas Week is recognized on campus as a week of activities to educate elementary students and highlight the importance of higher education and other post-secondary options.
