Special Education Notice Regarding Destruction of Records

  • Lewisville ISD retains all Special Education student eligibility files for students that have exited for five years after exit. After five years, the Special Education records are destroyed.

Adult students or legal guardian of a student with a disability have the right to inspect and/or request a copy of their records. The district charges $0.10 per page for copies.

To obtain a copy of the records, the adult student or legal guardian is required to complete and sign a copy of the district’s release form.

Please contact the Records Secretary at 469-948-8511 or spedrecords@lisd.net  if you wish to acquire copies of these records.
