Early Childhood Summer School: Summer 2019
Who can attend Early Childhood Summer School?
Students entering kindergarten and first grade for the 2019-20 school year and are Limited English Proficient who accept services and/or currently recieve ESL or Bilingual services qualify to attend EC Summer School.
How do I know if my child qualifies to attend Early Childhood Summer School?
Students entering kindergarten and first grade students for the 2019-20 school year who currently participate in a Bilingual class or receive ESL services qualify to attend EC Summer School. Students who qualify will be given an application mid April. Completed applications must be returned back to school by the May 1 deadline in order for a qualifying child to attend on the first day of EC Summer School classes.
Is transportation provided for students who attend Early Childhood Summer School?
Bus transportation is provided only for children entering first grade. There are set bus stops for families who wish to have their first grade bound child ride the bus to their EC Summer School campus.

Early Childhood Summer School VolunteersOpportunities for high school students to volunteer are available June 4 - June 26, 2019 as part of the LISD Early Childhood Summer School Program.Volunteering will involve assisting staff in a camp-like environment and working with 4-6 year olds who are bilingual or learning English as their Second Language. This is a great opportunity for volunteers wanting to use Spanish, Chin or other languages, or those wanting to gain experience working with young children. Volunteers can sign up for three-hour shifts on any or all of the days. Locations for 2019 EC Summer School are Lakeland Elementary, Lillie J.
