Lewisville ISD's Early Childhood Programs serve eligible three, four and five-year-olds in the Lewisville ISD communities by offering early education opportunities taught by certified teachers in a structured and collaborative classroom setting. Our Early Childhood website is filled with resources for your child's age group, ranging from LISD enrollment materials and timelines to helpful resources you can use to continue the learning with your child at home.

During the 2019-20 school year LISD provides free half-day prekindergarten to three- and four-year-old students funded by the State of Texas-based on state eligibility.

Starting in 2020-21 LISD will serve only eligible four-year-old students in both half-day and full-day state-funded prekindergarten classes. PreK eligible three-year-olds will no longer be served in LISD PreKindergarten classes in 2020-21.

A limited number of full-day classes will be available at a limited number of campuses in 2020-21. Spots in full-day classes will be limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    2020-2021 prekindergarten on-campus enrollment is April 15, 16, and 17, 2020 for in-person document drop off.

Students must qualify for free state-funded prekindergarten by one of the following criteria:

    • learning English as a second language
    • income

    • dependent of a member of the military on active duty, injured or killed while on active duty
    • currently or has ever been in State of Texas foster care
