• Membership in the DAC is intended to represent the numerous and diverse stakeholders that make up the LISD community. In compliance with Education Code 11.251, membership is composed of campus-based professional staff, district-level professional staff, parents, businesses, and the community.

Twelve members of the committee are nominated and elected by LISD staff. Eight are classroom teachers, one position is an at-large campus-based non-teaching role, one position is reserved for a campus-based administrator, one position is for district-level professional staff, and one position is for at-large staff. Eleven remaining positions are selected from interested parents, community members and business representatives: six parents of LISD students, three community representatives, and two business representatives. Representation across feeder patterns, grade levels, and content areas will be considered in the selection process.
