About Me:

I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself.  This is my 16th year teaching math in LISD.  This will be my 8th year at Lewisville High School.  I am proud to be part of this amazing campus which has so many traditions and such school spirit.  Trust me when I tell you, Farmer Pride is real!  I began teaching at The Colony High School and have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, PreAP/Honors Algebra 2, Math Models with Application and Foundations of College Math (College Prep Math).  I am looking forward to teaching Statistics and PSAT Prep the fall semester and AP Statistics the spring semester. Statistics is a different type of math class and is very useful in everyday life.  I am really excited to be working through these concepts with you.

I expect students to do their best.  I will do my best to share and explain the concepts for everyone.  I consider my classroom a team environment and we will work together for everyone to succeed.

I am originally from Sweetwater, Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Major in Applied Mathematics.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  My husband’s name is Lynn and we have two children, Josh and Jordan.   Both children graduated from Lewisville High School, Josh in 2018 and Jordan in 2020.  Jordan is currently attending Louisiana Tech University studying Economics.  Josh is working in LISD at Huffines Middle School.  They were members of the LHS Band and Drumline.  Lynn and I were part of the LHS Band/Drumline pit crew for 6 years and continued to help the LHS Drumline with hosting the competitions, LDI and NTCA.

I would like to thank the parents and guardians for allowing me the opportunity to have your child in my class.  It is a privilege and honor to have each student.
