Mr. Zauner is in his 14th year of teaching orchestra, his 8th year in Lewisville ISD, and his 5th year at Lewisville High School. He graduated with honors from Texas Tech University in 2010 with a double major in Music Education and Music Performance (double bass). In addition to teaching, he still enjoys performing on bass, cello, and piano at every possible opportunity. He has performed with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Susan Graham, and others. He has even played for a TV show on Disney+. He was recently had the honor of giving the US premier (second performance ever) of "This we know", a bass solo written by David Heyes in June 2018. Mr. Zauner hopes to share his passion and love for music with all of his students.
