About Me:  My background is in biology. I received my B.S in Biology from Harvey Mudd College, and an M.S. in Biology from the University of Rochester where I conducted research in evolutionary genetics. While biological research is interesting, my teaching responsibilities have always been more enjoyable and rewarding so I left research to become a teacher.  I hold an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Rochester and a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. I am also an Apple Teacher and a Google Educator (level 1 & Level 2) certification.
