Students are not allowed to have their iPads out in the mornings before school unless in a teacher's classroom working. Upon entering the building, if they have homework to complete that requires their iPad, they will need to report to tutorials. On the mornings that I am not available, they may go to any other math teacher.
The schedule is subject to change due to last-minute meetings. Tutorial sessions are open to all students on selected days. Students who want to be productive during these sessions should be prepared with questions due to limited time constraints and the volume of students. Tutorials are not the time to begin homework, but a time to ask specific questions to complete homework. The counselor’s office has a list of LISD approved paid tutors if class time and tutorial times are not sufficient, at the parent’s discretion.
Looking for an outside tutor for ANY SUBJECT here is the district-approved list. Parents can also find it on lisd.net by searching "tutor list" or at https://www.lisd.net/Page/1822. These are private tutors who set their own price per hour and will either come to the student's house or meet them at a central location. The list covers ALL disciplines at EVERY level, so it is very long. Please advise parents to look down the subject column first to narrow their search and then look for the tutors' location.
