Ms. Nancy Tristan

Hola! My name is Nancy Tristan and I will be teaching Advanced Spanish Honors 2 & 3 and Spanish 4 AP. I am originally from Chicago, Illinois but raised in Mexico.

I started teaching foreign languages in 1996 at the University of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. I have been in LISD for 15 years and this will be my 6th year at Arbor Creek Middle School.

I graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico de Matehuala, S.L.P. (Mexico) with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering in Production. I am certified as an Overseas Teachers of English from the University of Cambridge and have a Master's Degree in Spanish Language & Culture from the University of Salamanca, Spain.

I love to teach languages. I want to inspire my students to learn Spanish. My goal is to prepare students to become  global learners. As we move further into the age of globalization, Spanish speakers will undoubtedly become even more valuable to Texas businesses and public institutions, so they need to be prepared and ready for the challenges in the future.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and having a GREAT year at ACMS!  Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns.
