Ms. Marlene Balraj

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at ACMS! I'm Marlene Balraj and I teach 6th grade English Language Arts and Reading. I also teach an ESL 6th-8th grade English Language Arts class. I was raised in Carrollton and am honored to serve in the community I grew up in. I graduated from the University of North Texas and started my career in LISD 17 years ago. I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, trying new recipes and, of course, reading!  I hope to ignite the same passion for reading in my students, and help them express their thoughts through writing and dialogue. I look forward to meeting all of our new students and families!
