About Me:
Hello, my name is Sandra Elizalde, but most of the kids just call me "Nurse Sandra". I am the school nurse for the students of Parkway Elementary. I love being a school nurse, I love Parkway Elementary, and I love education. Before becoming a nurse, I wanted to be a teacher. So if you find me wanting to teach you, or your children something, now you know why. I'm a Registered Nurse with a B.S.N. from Texas Woman's University. I'm fascinated with science, medicine, and technology. I've been a school nurse for 29 years, 27 of them in LISD, and 25 of them at Parkway (just a few years after this school opened). Parkway is a great school and I'm sure you will love it just as much as I do.
Health Services:
The goal of the school nurse is to maximize the educational opportunities of each student by identifying, assessing, preventing, managing, minimizing or removing barriers to education.
Important Notice:
Please do not make medication or treatment requests by email in case I have a substitute or have no server access that day. Please call my office for requests needed that day.
Thank you!
Sandra Elizalde, BSN, RN
