Mr. Robinson
Hello! I am Ty Robinson and I have the pleasure of teaching Physical Education at Parkway. This is my 22nd year of teaching in LISD.
My ultimate goal is that each student leaves with a passion for health and exercise. We try to have as much fun as possible while learning the valuable lifelong tool of fitness.
In physical education, safety is a top priority. We are requesting that your child wear athletic shoes while in the gym. Athletic shoes are defined as shoes that tie or have Velcro straps, shoes that are closed around the entire foot, shoes that do not have wheels or heels.
Sandals, flip-flops, boots and other non-athletic shoes are not safe for the activities the students perform in physical education classes. Athletic shoes reduce the chances of an injury to your child. To see examples of appropriate athletic shoes, click here.
Athletic shoes may be worn to school all the time. However, if a student chooses to wear other shoes, he/she may keep the athletic shoes at school. For safety reasons, we strongly encourage all students to wear athletic shoes during physical education.
We appreciate your support of athletic shoes for the safety of our children.
Thank you for your support. I believe we have many great things ahead of us in PE.
