My name is Jowita Cichy, and I will be joining Donald Elementary as a new Dyslexia Interventionist. This will be my sixth year with LISD. Throughout my journey as a classroom teacher, I discovered that my true calling and expertise lie in teaching reading. Working with dyslexic students brings me immense joy as I witness their growth and progress firsthand. My primary goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment in my classroom, ensuring that every student feels valued and empowered.

I believe that dyslexia does not define a student's potential. On the contrary, it allows them to discover their unique talents and strengths. My mission is to instill confidence in young readers and help them understand that dyslexia can be conquered with the right guidance and determination.

In my free time, I enjoy reading mystery books and spending time with my husband and our four pets.
