Mrs. Sarah Sanders
Hello Donald Family,
My name is Sarah Sanders and I am one of the two dyslexia interventionists we have on our campus. This will be my 5th year at Donald and my 21st year in LISD. It is also my 29th year of teaching! For twenty of those years I was a classroom teacher (mostly 4th grade) and this will be my 9th year as a dyslexia interventionist. I love working at Donald and interacting with our dyslexic students. Teaching kids with dyslexia is my passion. I just love the way those students think and create. It is so rewarding to see that reading “lightbulb” click for them after being exposed to the MTA curriculum.
I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Math. I also hold a Masters as a Reading Specialist from Angelo State University. I have been married for 37 years to my Aggie sweetheart. I have a grown son and daughter (along with a daughter-in-law and son-in-law). I am also the proud grandmother to an 9 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson. In my spare time I love to read and spend time with family/friends. My husband and I also love to travel as well as go to events around the DFW area.
I’m looking forward to another exciting year at Donald!
