Hello everyone!

  My name is Kyle Patterson and I'm really excited to partner with Donald's amazing faculty and parents as we raise up future generations of leaders! 

  This will be my third year teaching in Lewisville ISD but my first classroom that is actually mine! I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences focused on Chemistry, Psychology, and Philosophy. 

  I had an amazing Science teacher in fifth grade who inspired me to be a teacher so this opportunity is one I have looked forward to for the last 18 years! I am passionate about developing a love of learning in students and giving students opportunities to discover more about the world around them using science and mathematics! I also hope to foster a classroom culture that encourages students to try new things even if that means they may mess up!

  One of the ways I encourage my students to make new connections and try new things is by having a class pet named Chandler. Chandler is a ball python and he shows us some of the amazing adaptations that animals from around the world have!

  In my free time you can find me at church, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, or playing board games with friends.
