Welcome to the Library.  I'm so happy to be starting my 12th year at Donald.  It is an awesome place to learn and grow.  I didn't have a love for reading until I got older, but once I learned I could go anywhere, I was "hooked on books."  If I do nothing else, I hope that I can inspire a love of reading in each and every child that I touch.

I grew up in Mississippi and went to college in Alabama.  I moved to Texas in 1992 and started teaching 3rd grade in San Antonio.  I only lived there for a year before coming to Dallas and getting married. I then taught 3rd grade in Irving for 3 years.  In 1996, I had my one and only child, Ross, and stayed home with him for 2 years. During this time I got my librarian certification and haven't looked back.  The best decision I ever made!!  I taught at Camey Elementary in The Colony for 15 years. I'm now an empty nester as my son is a private pilot and owns a Drone business here in Dallas.  I live in Flower Mound with my sweet pet pig, Tallulah and Dewey the Bearded Dragon. 

When I am not at school, you can find me with friends, reading or on any body of water.  I really think I must have been a mermaid at one point!  I love to travel and hope to take one big trip a year.  In 2022 I went to Belize and it was the most amazing thing ever!!
