Hello! I am Karyna Landrón and I will be this year's self-contained Dual Language teacher for first grade. This will be my 6th year as a teacher. During my first 2 years as an educator, I was an English teacher in Puerto Rico (where I was born and raised) and the past 3, I was a Kindergarten teacher in LISD. I attended the University of Puerto Rico, where I got both my bachelor's and master's degree. As a teacher, my goal is to provide a positive and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable and eager to learn and explore in both Spanish and English. During my free time, I enjoy to watch TV shows, try out new cooking and baking recipes and cuddle with my sweet dog, Gigi. It's going to be a great year!

Hola! Yo soy Karyna Landrón y seré la maestra de primer grado de Lenguaje Dual (50/50) este año. Este año es mi número 6 como maestra. Durante mis primeros 2 años como educadora, trabajé como maestra de Inglés en Puerto Rico (donde nací y crecí) y en los pasados 3 años, trabajé como maestra de Kindergarten en LISD. Fuí a la Universidad de Puerto Rico, donde obtuvo mis grados de bachillerato y maestría. Como maestra, mi meta es proveer un espacio positivo e inclusivo donde los estudiantes se sientan confiados y motivados a aprender y explorar en Español y en Inglés. Durante mi tiempo libre, me gusta ver televisión, intentar recetas nuevas de cocina y repostería y estar con mi hermosa perrita, Gigi. ¡Este año será uno excelente!
