My name is Gretchen Hudson.  This will be my 14th year teaching for LISD. Previously, I have taught self-contained first and third grade, departmentalized Math/Science third grade as well as Dual Language third grade. Also, I was a Language Acquisition Specialist at Donald STEM academy, Timber Creek and Highland Village elementary school for the last 5 years. I love my job... whether I am guiding and teaching students in their learning content while helping them to prepare for their future. Also, I work with the best people I know!

I grew up in Lewisville, Texas and attended LISD schools. I am very much a product of LISD as well as my four children. My four children and I are proud graduates of Lewisville High School! Currently, I live in Flower Mound, Texas with my husband of 31 years. I have four adult children and two granddaughters. Kamille, 30, is a STEM Specials teacher at Bluebonnet. Karli, 26, is a SDI teacher at Bell Elementary School in Little Elm, Texas. Ricky, 24, is a graduate from UTA with a BS in Architecture and from Minnesota State University with a MS in Architecture.  Adam, 21, is studying Biomedical engineering at UNT in Denton, Texas. My husband is a commercial construction estimator/project manager for Wilson Barnes General Contractors. In my free time, I love to spend time with family especially with my two granddaughters, attend cooking classes, reading, hiking in Angel Fire, New Mexico, and relaxing near the ocean at Orange Beach, Alabama.
