• Pre-Registration Information Meeting

    Hebrong High School's Counseling Department will host an information session for students and parents on Thursday, January 16th to discuss considerations for the upcoming course selection process for the 2020-2021 school year. There will be one presentation for rising 10th graders and a separate presentation for rising 11th and 12th graders. Representatives will also be on hand from various departments to answer questions after each session. See the flyer below for complete details.

    Firefighter Program Meeting for Current Sophomores

    Lewisville High School will host an inforamtion meeting for any current sophomores (Class of 2022) who are interested in the Firefighter Program. This program is open to all students across the district. See the flyer below for complete details.

    Lewisville ISD HBCU College Fair Open for Registration

    Students interested in attending a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) are encouraged to attend the LISD HBCU College Fair on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Marcus 9th Grade Campus. There is a limited number of space for Hebron HS students. Interested students should see Mrs. Rayford in the counseling office to sign up.

    Hebron High School Counselors to Host Coffee With A Counselor Event

    The HHS Counseling Department will host its first Coffee With A Counselor event on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 9-10am in the HHS Library. This will be an informal presentation and meeting to discuss a current topic related to supporting students. This month's topic will be course planning and other related details. Any interested parent is invited to attend and participate.

    New Scheduling Procedures for Class of 2021

    In the Spring of 2020, Hebron High School will begin a new scheduling process for the Class of 2021 only. This process, called Arena Scheduling, will provide students with a new system that allows them to have some more voice in the classes and order of their schedule.     FAFSA Event for Students and Parents in the Class of 2020

    The HHS Counseling Department will host an event for any students or parents in the Class of 2020 who would like help in completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The event will be a workshop. Please bring your materials and a volunteer will assist you in completing and submitting your application. Financial Aid representatives will also be on hand to answer family-specific or institution-specific questions. See the flyer below for complete details.

    University of Texas at Austin Admission Policy for Class of 2021

    The University of Texas at Austin has announced that their automatic admission policy will continue to accept students ranked in the top 6% of their high school class. Please see the link below for the official announcement from TEA.

    NorTex College Fair on September 9, 2019

    The University of North Texas, Texas Woman's University, and North Central Texas College will host the NorTex College Fair at the Golden Triangle Mall in Denton on September 9, 2019 from 6:30-8:30pm. The event is free but registration is encouraged as it can help you give your information to colleges very efficiently.     Credit Recovery for 1st Grading Period

    Credit recovery enrollment for the 1st grading period will continue through the morning of August 27, 2019. Credit recovery gives students a chance to recover .5 credit pieces of core classes through a series of after school courses and online course work. Students should meet with their school counselors if they are interested.

    Hebron's Schedule Change Procedure 2019-2020

    Schedule changes will be considered during the 1st 3 days of the class if there is an error in the schedule. Errors may include: two classes the same period, class scheduled that was passed in summer school, credit already received in a class, failure etc.

    Schedules may also be changed for program/placement issues. Examples include: ROTC, placement in an audition course, adding/dropping a sport etc.

    Discretionary elective changes will be limited. If you chose the elective, or if it was a listed alternate, then it cannot be changed.

    The procedure for requesting a change from AP to a PAP or PAP to a Regular class is as follows:
    *** A change may be requested at the 9 weeks. only.
    *** Changes at the 9 weeks will only be considered if the student’s academic history indicates a need for the change.

     


     


    The University of Texas at Austin Automatic Admission requirement for the graduating class of 2020 is 6%.  The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board establishes the rules that determine which students are to be eligible for automatic admission each school year.  Students who meet automatic admission requirements for UT will still potentially undergo holistic review in order to determine major of study.
