Beginning in the Fall of 2019, Hebron High School welcomes a partnership with G-Force, a group of college students from the University of North Texas who assist our students with their college and career goals (https://outreach.unt.edu/g-force). UNT G-Force Mentors advise, mentor, or tutor HHS students on set day(s) and time(s) during the week on the HHS campus. Mentors will also provide in-depth presentations for high school students and families through classroom presentations and participation in some school and evening events. Presentation content can vary from general information about college enrollment (College 101), financial aid and scholarships, applying to college, housing, and even general information on how to succeed in college from the perspective of a current UNT student.
Though the G-Force mentors attend UNT, they do not recruit for UNT and they will assist all students with their goals for all colleges/universities.
G-Force is prepared to assist HHS students with the following topics/tasks...
- Developing a Scholarship List
- Starting/Completing college applications
