We have two exciting events coming up! Seniors are encouraged to attend the presentation on Wednesdy and Thursday and if they need assistance completing their FAFSA/TASFA forms, they can attend on Wednesday to receive one-on-one help.

- Virtual presentation on how to prepare for college, how to get scholarships and how to complete your Financial Aid! Students will have the opportunity to win a $1000 scholarship to Midwestern State University!

Representatives from more than 150 colleges and universities from Texas and around the country will provide admissions, financial aid, housing, scholarship and other information at this year's NorTex College Fair. This Virtual College Fair will include online presentations and chat rooms with Admissions Representatives from participating universities & colleges.. The Dallas-Fort Worth Admissions Regional Network (DARN)—Virtual College Week
This is your opportunity to hear from more than 75 universities as they go over the questions they hear most from students. Join our College 101 presentation, a discussion with tips and best practices as student go through the admissions process, followed by Paying for College, where you will learn in-depth information about scholarships and financial aid. The following two days, the University Spotlight sessions will highlight numerous universities with the lastest information about their institution and criteria specific to each college.
Registration is required for each session. While we encourage you to attend the entire event, you are welcome to register for only those sessions you feel will assist you.

The FAFSA application opens October 1st. On Wednesday, October 2nd, following the Financial Aid presentation, there will be representatives from UNT’s Financial Aid department available in the FMHS Library to help with any questions or concerns related to the FAFSA. You do not have to apply to UNT in order to receive this help. Don’t miss this opportunity to receive one-on-one assistance.

Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 - Apply Texas/Common Application Workshop - 6:30 PM in the FMHS Auditorium
- Is your senior student stressing over his/her college applications? Does the college application process confuse both you and your student? Please make time to attend a Common Application and Apply Texas presentation and help session on Wednesday, August 28th. The presentation by college representatives will begin at 6:30pm in the FMHS Auditorium. Assistance will be available in the FMHS Library following the presentation to help students with their college application to any university.
