How to Apply
Families of students who will be entering kindergarten through fifth grade during the 2021-2022 school year will have the opportunity to formally request placement in the Elementary Virtual Learning Academy (EVLA) in mid-May 2021. A link will be sent to the parent email address listed in Skyward to apply. Families with multiple students must complete the application for each student applying to attend the Elementary Virtual Learning Academy. Any students who have not completed their application before the May 24th deadline may not be approved for the EVLA.
All applications will be reviewed based on the established eligibility criteria. Students accepted into the Elementary Virtual Learning Academy will be notified by early July 2021. The email of acceptance will include a unique link to formally accept your student’s placement into the Elementary Virtual Learning Academy. Using this link, families will read through and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accept their spot. These students will be officially enrolled into the EVLA and will receive a virtual teacher in August 2021.
For students entering kindergarten, families will need to complete the online application through Skyward for their zoned in-person elementary school. The attendance clerk will contact the family who may request placement in the EVLA at that time.
