• In Physical Education (PE) students will acquire the fundamental knowledge and skills for movement that provide the foundation for enjoyment, social development through physical activity, and access to a physically active lifestyle. Students will be able to exhibit a physically active lifestyle and understand the relationship, as well as, the benefits between living an active lifestyle and the impact on overall health.

    Students will participate in two PE lessons per week. Lessons include quizzes, brain exercises, assignments, and skill checks. In addition to these lessons, students are required to complete a minimum of 120 minutes of physical activity each week. Students will keep a weekly activity log to record their minutes of physical activity. Additional activities could be; team sports, bike riding, swimming, taking a walk with family, etc. Students will submit their activity log, assignments, and skill checks to their teacher. 

    Submission schedule:

    Activity Logs: every week

    Skill Checks: two per nine weeks, parents will observe their student demonstrating the skills learned in that unit, record results and submit to teacher 

    Assignments: three assignments per nine weeks submitted to teacher
