During November and December, the students have been working on emotional management. Through the Second Step program, all grade levels have been working on dealing with uncomfortable feelings by calming down. We have learned the importance of belly breathing, counting, and positive self-talk. Their steps to calm down are:
2. Name Your Feeling- this is very important for them to identify what they are truly feeling. Sometimes we all act in anger, but we are really feeling something deeper.
