A little bit of my journey to Bridlewood...
After graduating SMU and the completion of my student teaching, from 2007-2020, I was the music specialist at Hastings Elementary for Duncanville ISD. I was chosen to be "Teacher of the Year" for Hastings for the 2015 school year. I was also awarded "Lifetime Member of PTA" at Hastings in 2011 for the many programs and performances I have coordinated.
I was also the K-6 District Music Coordinator for Duncanville ISD from 2014-2020. As coordinator, I led Staff Development meetings with other music teachers in the district, and oversaw the All City Choir concert at the High School with all district choirs performing. I coordinated different events the choirs in the district performed at for the community like the Duncanville Christmas Tree Lighting after the Duncanville Christmas Parade and the All City Choir concert.
New chapter..
I have family living in Grapevine, so I just moved from Dallas to Grapevine. I LOVE teaching elementary music and I am happy to be doing what I love. I am an active member of TMEA; Texas Music Educators Association a member of the Kappa Upsilon Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. I am so excited for this new chapter as your music specialist teaching Kindergarten through Fifth Grade General Music and I love being a Bridlewood Bronco!
