Hello Viking Families!  My name is Mrs. Stewart and it's my eighth year at Highland Village Elementary.  It's good to be back and see all the familiar faces (and the ones that are new!). 

I graduated from The University of Texas (way back) and this is my 17th year as a school nurse.  My family has lived in Highland Village for 32 years.  Ron is my husband and we have 3 daughters that graduated from Marcus.  They all have grown up jobs-one in Denver and two in Dallas.  We feel so fortunate for the exceptional education they got through LISD that prepared them personally and academically for college (A&M and The University of Arkansas) and the big, wide world.  I like to think they are all brilliant, but the fact is they all worked very hard to get to their goals.  

My job as the school nurse is to help Highland Village be a healthy, safe place to learn.  Our policies on COVID have changed a little and students are no longer excluded from school unless they have a fever >100.0 or are too ill to participate. Absences are treated like any other illness and you can contact the attendance clerk for any questions. If you have questions or need clarification, please reach out to us.
