Food allergies are a condition for many students. If your child has a life threatening food allergy and needs to keep medicine at school (benadryl or an epipen) please contact me so we can talk about keeping them safe. Life threatening conditions may affect breathing and blood pressure and require medication to prevent death. Other food allergies may make a student have a rash or hives or an upset stomach. Food intolerances may cause diarrhea or an upset stomach . Some students just "don't like milk or broccoli or___________" or don't eat certain food for religious reasons. This is called a food preference and should be handled between student and parent. If you have any questions about your student please don't hesitate to call!
