  • You watch a lot of TV, but can you see yourself producing a television show? News broadcasts, talk shows and game shows are just a few of the types of studio productions you will have the opportunity to create and work on.

AV Production – TV Broadcast will train you to work in a professional, high-definition TV studio. From director to audio engineer to talk show host, you’ll experience all areas of television production.

The course will also train you to work with video cameras outside the studio, as well as video editing. Projects outside the studio include news packages, commercials and music videos.

The course is open to students in grades 10-12 and is offered for two periods at Career Center East.

There are no required courses you must take prior to enrolling in AV Production - TV, but Introduction to AAVTC is a recommendation. Courses in multimedia, theater and journalism are also a plus.
