• Liberty Student Council

The Liberty Elementary School Student Council is a campus-wide organization open to any enrolled fourth and fifth grade student at Liberty Elementary School. Membership is determined through an application process conducted in the spring of each school year for the following school year.

The Student Council holds one meeting each month after school as a group throughout the school year. There are projects to participate in, as well as special events, activities, and committee meetings. Student Council members are considered to be the leaders and role models of Liberty Elementary School, dedicating themselves to school pride and service.

Advisors are Kim Cox, Elizabeth Banda, Lening Gonzalez, Laura Traynor, and Johnny Vance. Scheduled full council monthly meetings and events in the cafeteria from 3:00pm to 4:00pm include:  August 16, September 20, October 18, November 15, January 24, February 21, March 28, and April 18.   Three additional events include the work day, Monday, August 1 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, an appreciation event, Tuesday, December 13 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, and, the awards ceremony, Monday, May 22 from 2:00pm-3:00pm.  We will also once again host a TEPSA Student Leadership Workshop on Wednesday, October 19, from 9:00am-2:00pm.
