Christie Evans

Welcome to Creek Valley Middle School and to sixth grade!  Rather than having separate reading and English classes, sixth grade students have an English Language Arts Reading block class for two periods.  This will help students experience the connection between reading and writing as the teachers show the relationship and the integration of both oral and written communication. Rather than having the courses separate, we envision greater student participation and opportunities through being exposed to a variety of fiction and non-fiction topics and mediums.  I have high expectations for your child’s success!

About Me:

My name is Ms. Evans, and This is my 18th year at CVMS, my 19th year of teaching, and my 13th year of coaching cheer. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and went back to DBU to get my Master's Degree in School Counseling. Go Patriots!! I love being part of the Wildcat family! I love teaching 6th grade LEAP and PreAP ELA.

I have a precious nephew who is 11 years old (and in 6th grade this year!) and is my favorite person. I'm a fan of all Dallas sports teams and Longhorn football. If you want to know more, just ask! Some of my favorite things to do are travel, read, walk at the park, and spend time with friends and family. The summers of 2016 and 2018, Mrs. McCullough and I took many students to Washington DC and NYC and had an incredible time! In the summer of 2020, Ms. McQueen and I are taking students to Costa Rica! All CVMS students are welcome to join us. Please contact me if you want more information!
