Mr. Grizzard
This year at Creek Valley will be my 4th year teaching and coaching. Before getting into teaching, I spent 8 years as a youth pastor in Denton. When I transitioned away from being a youth pastor, I knew pretty quickly what I wanted to do next. I enjoy teaching and being an educator! I understand how important the years in middle school are for a student's development mentally, physically, and socially, and I am honored to be a part of that.
I am 32 years old and my wife and I have two beautiful children. I've lived in Texas my whole life and I remember being the kind of kid you could not keep inside the house. I have some great memories of fishing in the water reservoir that ran through my neighborhood, hiking and exploring the wooded areas behind the parks, and camping out under the stars in my friend's backyard. Even as an adult, I have continued to try and live my life outside as much as possible. I still love to fish, hunt, hike, and camp. That is why the Outdoor Trails class is something I am excited about being a part of.
In this class, I will do my best to help cultivate your student's love for the outdoors. I will give them opportunities to learn CPR, camping, hiking, survival, fishing, archery, hunting, and boating. They will get hands-on experience with many things they may never touch again, but if they do, they will be able to do it safely.
