    The FMPA is proud to announce that we’ll be offering scholarships to high school seniors residing in Flower Mound who are looking to further their education upon graduation. This also includes students attending LISD schools as well as private and homeschools.

    Eligibility Requirements

    • High school senior either attending a high school or career center in the Denton area.
    • Must be accepted into or pursuing full-time studies leading to a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree at an accredited college, university, or a certification program at a trade school in the U.S.
    • Must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.
    • Shows a strong commitment toward community service.

    Better Together Scholarship

    We offer two types of scholarships, each worth $2,000. Students may apply for only one. These scholarships can be used to cover any education-related expenses such as tuition, textbooks, housing, and other fees.

    Applications will be open until 5 pm CST on Friday May 14th, 2021. Scholarships are for Class of 2021 high school seniors. 



     Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship

    ALL graduating high school seniors planning to attend a college/university in fall 2021 are eligible to apply.
    Students must apply online at www.forddrivingdreams.com by April 6 for a chance to receive a
    scholarship worth $2,000! Selected winners will be invited to the Ford Driving Dreams Virtual Celebration
    in June sponsored by Ford Motor Company Fund and your North Texas Ford Dealers. See eligibility

    Important Eligibility Requirements
    Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a scholarship:
     Must be a high school senior graduating in Spring 2021.
     Must be a student planning to pursue their higher education at an accredited college or university
    in the U.S in Fall 2021.

    CollegeBoard Scholarship

    Thousands of $500 scholarships available 

    The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program is currently open to class of 2022 students in the United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Territories, regardless of citizenship status. U.S. citizens and residents attending Department of Defense Education Activity schools abroad may also participate. 


    The Program is also open to class of 2021 until the end of February, 2021.

    2021 Qualifications

    Complete instructions and qualifications are enumerated in the Scholarship Application package available from this page.  At a high level, a candidate must:

    • Live within or parents live in Denton County  

    • Graduate of a Denton County High School

    • Have been ACCEPTED to Texas A&M University College Station for the upcoming fall semester

    Scholarship for an African American graduate within Denton County and meet the following:

    Women of Flower Mound 

    • The Helen H. Johns Memorial STEAM Scholarship will be awarded annually to a female graduate from a Flower Mound area high school who is pursuing a degree in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math) curriculum.

    • Scholarship award is based on the applicant's academic achievement, career goals, leadership and financial need.

    • The amount of the scholarship will be determined annually by the Women of Flower Mound Board of Directors.

    oxyGen Scholarship Application

    To be eligible for consideration for the oxyGEN scholarship applicants must:

    • Demonstrate a passion for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) topic, but they are NOT required to be pursuing a degree in a STEM field
    • Enroll in an accredited 2- or 4-year undergraduate program within the U.S. for the 2021-2022 school year
    • Complete the scholarship application by February 28, 11:59 pm ET. This deadline will not be extended, incomplete applications will not be considered
