    Marcus PTSA Scholarship

    Several PTSA Scholarships for $500 each will be available for Marcus 2019 seniors. The recipients of a PTSA scholarship must be a 2019 graduate and a member of the Marcus PTSA, prior to January 31, 2019. Selection is based upon a variety of factors that emphasize merit, not simply academic or financial need. Merit is demonstrated through evidence of motivation, school and community involvement, and a desire to succeed.

    North Texas Association of Engineers Scholarship

    For students pursuing an education in the energy arena. Students active in, or entering into, a post-secondary education program focused in energy engineering, energy management or energy technology-related fields at accredited colleges, universities and technical schools.

    LOVE TO THE MAX Scholarship

    Application can be found at  www.lovetothemax.org.

     

    • You must be a 2019 graduate of Marcus High School
    • You must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (unweighted)
    • You must be attending a college or technical school in the fall of 2019
    • Applicants will be judged by a panel who are not familiar with Marcus students to prevent personal bias.
    • All ​Applicants will be notified by June 1st and the recipient will be awarded the scholarship at a special presentation at the Love to the Max Scholarship Scramble on June 8th

     

    Oxygen Scholarship

    2019 Scholarship Criteria:

    -          Applicants must submit a 3-5 minute video on a STEM topic of their choice.

    -          Applicants are eligible regardless of major or area of study.

    -          Applicants who meet all criteria, including AT&T employees and their family, are eligible to apply.

    -          Applicant must enroll in an accredited (2-year or 4-year) undergraduate program within the U.S. for the 2018-2019 year.

    -          Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

    Applications are accepted online through March 31, 2019, 11:59 p.m. ET

     

    Downing Middle School PTA

    Criteria:

    1. Applicant must be a DMS alumni from the Class of 2015.
    2. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award (2019).
    3. Applicant must demonstrate positive-impact involvement – in the complete sense – consistent with capacity and circumstances and/or significant improvement/success in scholarship and community involvement, determined through letters of recommendation.
    4. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    5. Applicant or family member must be a member of PTA or PTSA
