  • Hello! My name is Gina Boyd, although everyone calls me Nurse Gina. I have been an R.N. since 1987. My background is in cardiac, family medicine, pediatrics, allergy immunotherapy, and school nursing. I am married with two grown children. I have been at Vickery Elementary since we opened the doors the first year and love working with our wonderful students and staff. 

    Our children are our most valuable resource. For that reason LISD provides a registered nurse on each campus. The goal of the school nurse is to maximize the educational opportunities of each student by identifying, assessing, preventing, managing, minimizing, or removing barriers to education. 

    School nurses monitor required immunizations, mandated health screenings, and health trends on the campus. Communication with families is important so parents are asked to keep the Student Health & Emergency Information up to date in Skyward Family Access with current contact numbers, allergies, and medical needs.

    If you have a concern about your student or just need to update me on what is going on with them, you can contact me at the number/email listed below. Also remember you can update health information online through the parent portal.
