My name is Adrienne Brown and I am thrilled to be on the Vickery staff as a counselor! I have more than a decade of experience in elementary education. I am from Carrollton and I am a proud graduate of Lewisville ISD. I have always dreamed of working in this district. I attended college at The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with a double minor in reading and special education. I earned my masters degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. The counseling program here at Vickery provides classroom guidance lessons, small groups, and individual counseling. Through these service students learn how to get along with others, making good choices, controlling anger, accepting responsibility, and become aware of strengths and weaknesses. Counselors work with teachers and parents to help meet each student’s needs so they can reach their full potential! I am looking forward to getting to know Vickery families this school year.
