    GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Be advised that our annual Texas Academic Progress Report issued by the Texas Education Agency is now available on the Liberty website, under General Information, Data & Reports, TAPR for your review.

The holiday season is upon us, and for many of us it is a “Season of Thanks”. Many families and students seek ways to thank educators who have made an impact this school year. There is no better way to do this than through Lewisville ISD Education Foundation Changing Children’s Lives Award. To make this award on behalf of your favorite educator or educators, simply visit LISDEF.com/Thanks. In return for a donation to LEF of any amount, even as little as $5.00, you can share your appreciation in your own words. LEF will send that message and a nice certificate to reflect on the awesome impact our educators have on our students. So remember, visit LISDEF.com/Thanks to thank your favorite educator today!

Now is a great time for students to work on and submit entries for the 2018 LISD Student Film Fest, Reel Voices.  An informational flier is attached to this callout.

The last Eagle Folder distribution prior to winter break will be Tuesday, December 18.  All items will need to be submitted for inclusion by noon Thursday, December 13, to the main office.

If you are planning to present items and gifts of appreciation to staff members prior to break (which are greatly appreciated), please do so by Wednesday, December 19, as the staff has been asked to clean up and prepare their areas for winter break by then.  As stated earlier, the staff is welcomed to leave early Friday and we want to help them to do so.

In order to best meet any needs prior to break and to allow all of us an opportunity to spend uninterrupted time with family and friends, please wrap up any communication between school and home by noon Thursday, December 20.  Thank you.

Friday, December 21, will be an early release for all students at 11:45am.  Except for ESD and Discovery Academy, our campus will officially close at 12:00pm.  Discovery Academy will close at 3:30pm that day so all families are asked to plan in advance.  All ESD families are encouraged to pick up their students as soon as possible that day as well.  The building will be closed until Monday, January 7, at which time classes will resume.
