Thank you to each of you who contributed enough items to earn 1,969 points in the LISD Stuff the Pantry food drive! Congratulations to the fourth grade classroom of Melinda Pool for a campus high 245 points! Thank you to the PTA Executive Board and Chairpersons for their continued work and attendance at the monthly Board meeting! Thank you to Kathie Fouche’ and Audrey Morgan for all of their assistance with the fall PTA Morning Mile! Thank you to Amy Orlov for her work with the PTA Reflections program! Thank you to the attendees of the LISD Fifth Grade Honor Concert! Thank you to each of the Veterans and their guests who attended our Veterans Recognition Ceremony! The absolute deadline for fifth grade families to submit Kindergarten pictures of the student for the yearbook is Friday, November 17, at 8:00am.
In order to best meet any needs prior to break and to allow all of us an opportunity to spend uninterrupted time with family and friends, please wrap up any communication between school and home by noon Thursday, November 16. Thank you.
We are seeking volunteers for the annual Holiday Happenings benefitting all Liberty students on Monday, December 18. An informational flier will be in the Tuesday Eagle Folder.
The November PTA membership meeting and Third Grade music program will take place Tuesday, November 14, at 6:30pm.
PTA Grateful Grams will be available for purchase 7:15am to7:45am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, November 15, 16, 17, inside the main entrance. Delivery will be Friday, November 17.
LISD Angel Tree selections should begin Wednesday, November 15.
First grade will travel to Log Cabin Village on Wednesday, November 15, from 8:30am through 2:30pm.
Fifth grade will travel to the Dallas Arboretum on Thursday, November 16, from 8:45am to 2:30pm.
Third grade will be provided a planetarium experience from the students at FMHS on Thursday, November 16, at 12:30pm.
Spirit day Friday, November 17, is Book Character Day with everyone encouraged to dress as a favorite character from a book!
The deadline to submit a Kindergarten picture of a fifth grade student is 8:00am Friday, November 17.
First grade will host their friendship fruit feast on Friday, November 17.
Friday, November 17, will be a full day of school prior to our nine calendar day break for Thanksgiving.
PTA birthday treats and celebration will take place Wednesday, November 29, (NOT November 16), during the lunch shifts.
The November Student Council meeting will be Wednesday, November 29, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
Liberty Night at the Chick-fil-A located at Flower Mound and Long Prairie roads will be Wednesday, November 29, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Be sure to join us for Pancakes with Santa in the cafeteria Saturday, December 2, from 8:00am to 11:00am. Reservation forms were distributed in the Eagle Folders and are due Friday, November 17.
A reminder please that when you are visiting the building for any length of time be it volunteering, attending a conference or meetings, having lunch, etc. to park in the southwest visitor parking lot please. The front circle drive is for quick run in and run out type of occurrences only.
Counselor Marinell Clark is once again coordinating our annual Angel Tree effort to provide gifts for those in need here in LISD. We are hoping that gift tags will be located on the display tree across from the main office at Liberty the week of November 13. Please sign your name beside the Angel number you selected on the roster in the main office. Feel free to choose a tag of items that you would like to provide and bring your items wrapped in gift bags with the Angel attached to the outside to the main office by Wednesday, December 7. Thank you for your consideration.
Attention members of Belles, Choir, Dodgeball, Green Squad, News Team, Student Council, and Volleyball: Your group picture day will be Thursday, November 30. Your advisor, coach, director, sponsor has the specific schedule to share with you and the outfit you are to wear. They also have the picture order packet to complete with payment and bring to the group picture taking appointment if you plan to purchase. If you are in multiple groups, it is up to you to plan ahead for all of your outfits and change in between pictures. We cannot change the schedule or hold a picture for anyone late or at an appointment. If you have questions please contact the appropriate adult advisor, director, sponsor.
